File Extension Ica

Files with the .ica file extension can be one of three different file types: an Image Object Content Architecture (IOCA) Graphics file, a Citrix Independent Computer Architecture file, or an Identity Compass Answers file. Of the three, the Image Object Content Architecture (IOCA) Graphics file is the most common. The IOCA graphics format was developed by IBM as part of a larger project to incorporate multiple text and graphic elements in a single compound document. The IBM architecture is called MO:DCA (Mixed Object:Document Content Architecture).

Regtask was able to clean up my computer and speed up the performance! I highly recommend it

Jo H.

My computer was always popping up with registry errors and I couldnt get rid of them. Regtask did the job for me and took less then 5 minutes to speed up my computer.

Samantha J.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my computer started to experience random freezes, I just used Regtask and now it works normally again.

David G.

My computer is 5 years old and runs extremely slow now. I was a bit sceptical about using Regtask, but just decided to give it a shot in the end and it worked out fantastically for me.

The .ica files of this type are bit-mapped images which have become very popular and are used widely in various software products. It's common for .ica files to be used for application icons, for example. The files can be opened, edited, and converted many a host of programs, among them being XnView, AutoImager 3.0, GFX Alchemy 2.0, and Graphics Converter Pro. It should be noted that these graphics files sometimes carry the .ioca extension, but regardless, it is the same type of file. An .ioca could be renamed as an .ica with no adverse effects; the opposite is also true. Errors with IBM .ica files are generally limited to improper or non-existent file associations, or corrupted data which renders the graphic unusable. In the case of non-existent file associations, it is recommended that users do create an association. Because of their common use as icons, creating a file association could cause unnecessary confusion later on.

More Info Regarding File Extension Ica

Citrix' Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) is a technology developed to allow multiple computer users to access applications hosted by a central server. The technology has matured to the point where individual computer work stations can be replace by compact terminals. These terminals log onto the Citrix server and run everything (including the quasi OS) from there. For this application, the .ica file is a configuration file storing the data necessary to connect to various servers. These files are merely text files and can be opened and edited using a Citrix Presentation Server Client, the ICA Client Editor, Citrix Easy Connect Manager, or any text editor. Due to the nature of text files, errors with the Citrix .ica can only be caused by improper configuration data or data corruption. In either case, these errors will interfere with server connection. The problem can be rectified by editing the file to contain the proper configuration information. It is suggested that these files not be edited by anyone who is not thoroughly familiar with server configuration. When editing a Citrix .ica file, care should always be exercised and a backup copy saved before editing begins.

Identity Compass is an employment evaluation and profiling system used to help make selecting the right personnel a more productive exercise. It differs from most other profiling systems in that it assesses how candidates think and make decisions in typical work environments. The .ica (Identity Compass Answers) file from this system is an encrypted file containing the data corresponding to the user's answers. The software creates this file during the profiling session, then uses it later on during the analysis stage. The file format is proprietary to the Identity Compass system which means the files can't be accessed or edited outside of the native software environment. In addition, the data is encrypted to prevent it from being accessed by even the most skillful of hackers. Large scale errors with these files have not been reported, but it is assumed that like all data files they can become corrupted and interfere with the software's operation. I's also possible for newer versions of the software to create .ica files incompatible with older versions. Compatibility in the other direction should not be a problem.
